I was born and raised in Grand Prairie, Texas. I stayed in my home state to study at Texas A&M University. Throughout college, I worked at summer camps and realized that I had a passion for working with kids. I pursued my teaching certification and taught in Texas for two years before moving to Korea where I met my wife Becky who teaches economics and psychology in the high school. This is my 9th year at AES and 15th year teaching. We have two kids, Aubrey (5) and Ford (3) who where both born here in Delhi.

I began my career as a social studies teacher because of my interest in the world. Since moving overseas, I have had the opportunity to become a literacy teacher as well. Teaching reading and writing has become a passion over the last 10 years. I was lucky to have joined AES just as we began to move towards a workshop model in our classrooms that allowed me to learn and grow as the program developed and matured. My hope is that all students will view themselves as readers and writers when they leave my class.
